Yeah that’s gonna be a big problem for Reform in Senedd election in May, their core vote - disillusioned conservatives/ traditional Labour - aren’t that interested in the Senedd and tend not to bother voting in anything apart from GE’s whilst Plaids supporters are obviously very keen on the Senedd

The by election in Caerphilly today (likely Ref win Plaid close 2nd) will probably throw an absolute grenade into all of this - I think Labour are in danger of their vote collapsing due to the anti-Reform deciding to coalesce around Plaid

Ironic really that the only candidate that will immediately spot this is Llyr Powell

What is quite ironic here is that for Reform it’s not in their interest for the Tories to completely melt away as it then becomes very difficult for them to get the numbers to form a gov - but with Westminster the opposite is true a total Tory collapse is probs the only way Reform get a majority

This isn’t actually too bad a result for Labour given that Llanrumney is the 2nd poorest ward in Cardiff and one of the least ethnically diverse - it’s 85.5% white - so it’s a real target for Reform
