The promotion of #self-care and #kindness, #authenticity and #healing, to me these are inherently not only political and social but radical things to promote and work in service of. That's my view as a #counsellor. Others may see things differently.

I am not 'the public' and neither are you. The public hates this, the public agrees with that. It can be very galling to have words, opinions, ideas assigned to you as part of a great amorphous mass. Truth is, no one fits a precise profile considered 'acceptable' to all. #therapy #counselling

I work with individuals. Their views may not line up conveniently for pollsters and media. They can hold both left- and right-wing convictions. My politics don't enter the #therapeutic space, although I see my choice of career as a #counsellor being a form of social and political activism.
