I have no idea about the publishing world and how hard this is, but if the sequel popped up on Amazon even with a release date in 2028, I’d pre-order now just so I don’t forget.

I just finished your first novel this week, and enjoyed it. I’m excited for the second one, but it’s less important than getting better. We’ll still be here when you’ve healed.

The internet is so weird sometimes. I just went through “hey that person posting about their cancer gofundme has a name quite similar to the author of the book I’m reading right now. Strange coincidence!” to “wait it’s in my feed because Martha Wells reposted”, to “yep it’s her”. Donated.

Ah the joys of international publishing! It appears from a quick look at Amazon, there is no ETA at all on kindle or paper copies in Australia, but the Audible version will launch on the 18th of March. Since it’s you narrating, that’s what I’ll get ;-)

I got a follow just now from @zoeymin14.bsky.social
300 followers, has never posted. Surely this account and every account following it is part of the same bot network?

It’s going to be a long fight. I’m glad you’re on it.

Oh I’m so sorry. I’m sure you gave her everything a kitten could want in her time with you, and it was the happiest time of her life. 😿

I have at least two steaming services that I deliberately subscribe to thru the apps. When subscribing thru the website they make it an enormous pain to cancel or later resubscribe. If it’s subscribed thru Apple I can cancel in a few taps.

Imagine you haven’t voted yet and you wake up as a gigantic insect! They might not let you vote like that! Now it’s all stress and “can I get changed back in time to vote?” instead of getting to hang out and enjoy being gigantic and insecty. Avoid this stress. Vote early!

So anyway, a direct thank you to @nome.bsky.social. You talking openly and honestly about your ADHD has helped. A lot.

And I’ll see my GP next week to discuss medication. I don’t know if meds are what I need or not, but I’m interested to try. I want to feel what that other type of brain feels like, even if only for a bit.

All still parts of me of course, knowing doesn’t make them go away. But it does make me feel less silly for having systems and coping mechanisms that help me function. I can have those things without being embarrassed that I can’t just *do* these things easily like everyone else does. That helps.

and often enough that the term Time Blindness exists, was actually a revelation. The memory that’s often so terrible, but sometimes incredible on oddly specific things. Losing things I was just holding. All part of something that other people have too, not just things I suck at.
