i like JJBA, FGO, HNK, Pokemon, a handful of other anime and video games, and watching rich men race cars for like 50+ laps on weekends

Definitely one of my fav romhacks ever, its not often I complete one twice. Good updates the Pokemon types and other QoL updates that make monotype runs a breeze. Almost got my ass completely walled by Wallace's Tentacruel at the very end tho

Read this on the plane home. Really good comic! Love the atmosphere of the setting, and the use of colour throughout the story. Great mixture of horror, commentary on class and privilege, and comedy. And the main trio of Neeta, Emery, and Wick are all so fun

[said with the acknowledgement that this is Studio Mappa and the animators were probably crunched to hell and back because the industry sucks] god anime is so fucking cool

the last film in the Memories anthology and probably the most haunting of the three. everything from the art style, the animation, the music, and the juxtaposition of the characters' mundane lives with the world they live in is designed to make you as uncomfortable as possible

'what if you stank so bad the government sent in the entire wholeass military to hunt you for sport' is the kind of premise my Anxiety Brain would think up if i ever forgot to put on deodorant before leaving the house

one of those 'i stumbled upon a short youtube clip from this like a decade ago and only now realised id never seen the full movie' anime shorts. an absolute masterclass in sci-fi horror, Satoshi Kon never misses

and of course i gotta finish off with Peak. like ok, i know it's nostalgia talking and the butchering of three different films to try and make a coherent overarching story is a ridiculous choice, but god is this stupid movie still so near and dear to my heart

knowing that this film was the one that was cut down and rewritten the most for Digimon the Movie, i expected the original to make more sense than the dub. and the answer is uh. no. not really. absolutely bizarre fucking film

i think a lot about how Mamoru Hosoda made this film and apparently loved it so much he's spent his entire career remaking it over and over again. honestly kinda real of him, this still slaps

first time watching the original version. objectively, its a fascinating film that turns the silly monster anime into a kaiju film from the perspective of a child. subjectively, its really just not the same without the ska soundtrack Digimon The Movie gave it man

very solid adaptation! the pacing felt really slow at times but that was definitely due to how what was covered doesn't really lend well to a 12-episode format. but the cinematography, the sound design, and basically everything else is an A+

What if the Breakfast Club was a murder mystery and also it was good. Though not gonna lie I cringed at the plot point where they were looking into a character’s 4chan post history by searching for his username because noooo that’s not how that website woooorks

Hell yeah messy lesbian vampires. I really like V.E. Schwab’s writing, and her take on the mythos. Not sure what else I can say other than it’s Really Good and hits a lot of themes that I personally enjoy when it comes to vampirism and monsters

i hadnt heard of this manga until a friend recommended it to me, and god this is so 2000s that it gave me massive nostalgia. this should have gotten an anime when it was publishing, its practically begging for edgy Three Days Grace AMVs. warrior cats teens wouldve eaten it up
