Herbie bringing the funk! Joe Henderson is just a beast on this date (but when is he not?). Original ‘69 Van Gelder cut. Nice, heavy bass in these grooves. The ballad “Tell Me A Bedtime Story” is a real standout.

Some of the best jazz-funk to be had anywhere. Beats that get you moving. Love the groovy Fender bass lines and electric piano too. Recorded in ‘71, this is the 2020 VMP reissue. #jazzsky
