Finally have 100% and all achievements in Supraland, Supraland Crash, and Supraland Six Feet Under. Absolutely adore these games, and I am so looking forward to Supraworld.

Installed some mods for Silk Song. I feel there is a poetic duality.

I just noticed.

They didn't even change the "line of identical smoke particles" trail effect or the "orthogonal flat blue circles with orangey sprinkles" explosion effect.

Those looked terrible even back in the day!

The thing that weirds me out, is that the only thing they changed were the character models, which are the probably the thing that aged the best out of Deus Ex 1 graphics.

Like seriously, you looked at this scene and thought the only thing that could use some extra polygons were the people?

Some days I get nostalgic for Windows 95.

Today is an "I am nostalgic for Windows 95" day.

Played the demo for The Button Effect on Steam and, oh boy, I think this one is going to be something special.

Ah, there's the Oblivion I know and love. It's just not the same if the faces don't look like potatoes.

Yes I could spend 5 minutes solving these boring Tetromino puzzles OR I could spend 4 hours coding up a tool in rust to brute force solve them for me.

I make my own fun.

Here's the evaluation of the factorial of 3. Turns out its 6.

Inspired by youtu.be/RcVA8Nj6HEo. I've spent the last two days implementing Lambda Calculus ASCII diagrams in Rust.

Here's the evaluation of 2*2=4.

You may not understand it, but this is what peak computing looks like!

I'd play it.

Looking through the source code of the Command & Conquer games that EA just released github.com/electronicarts. Some fun stuff in the comments.

Happy Valentimes to all my fellow bsky-ers.

Played and finished Slender Threads today. It's a short game but damn I really liked it. Gonna be thinking about this one for a while.

Managed to 100% complete Supraland Six Inches Under. Such a great game. I feel much enganged and achieved!

Playing around in R and I found a pretty curve.

Speaking of old games, this is some peak UI design.

Modern UI designers would NEVER have the guts to dedicate significant screen real estate to a blue and gold barbershop pole.

And they are lesser for it.

Oooh that is so cool. Doesn't look like much of the walls/buildings have survived to modern day, but I think you can still see the old footprint of the town from the lack of a grid system.

'positional granularity' can be anything you want.

If you wanted to double the size of a square, you could either use four duplicate copies, or just stretch the existing points to cover the larger region.

However these create the SAME set of points. There are no holes in the stretched version.

Probability question for you.

I'm playing darts on a square dartboard, divided into 13 square regions shown below. My dart throwing is random with a uniform distribution.

If I told you my dart hit the exact center of one of the regions, what is the probability that it was the large center region?

My nuclear power Satisfactory base. This time I tried to make it look nice and organized, and I think it turned out pretty dang good.
November 13, 2024 at 6:51 PM
I have completed the main Satisfactory quest and automated all the things. This game is a technical marvel that it can handle such nonsense and run as well as it does.
November 5, 2024 at 6:24 AM
First time playing Satisfactory and I think I've reached the point where "tear it all down and start from scratch" seems like the most reasonable course of action.
