The US and Russia are complicit in dividing NATO forces along two fronts which makes the potential of military action a bargaining chip. Peace in the Ukraine and annexation of Greenland hinge on Russia and the US getting what they want. The gambit? Force European powers to negotiate vs. fight.

Hmmm…not convinced by this fanciful history. Try looking into the diaspora of Greek sailors after 1822. Then you will discover real reason we have ok today.

Why are you not addressing the expansion game plan? Russia moves on smaller European countries, China moves on Taiwan, and the US moves on Greenland (possibly Canada). You must see it. Why not ring the bell?

As a Canadian, transplanted to Greece, I watch the advent of Trumpism with utter dismay and sense of tragedy. There is little room for speculation here, but, If the Trumpists are successful in November, can a neo-manifest destiny be far behind? I hope American democracy is robust enough to survive.

Robert, this downhill slide toward fascism has been in the making in the US for decades. A state of the American polity where too many people have forgotten the meaning and sacrifice of WW2, or worse, choose to ignore them for political purposes.
