Yeah, I get that. Part of living in a society is compromise, though. It’s not just about what each individual wants.

100% agree. Isn’t it reasonable for post of Plan B to be limiting the access to mass killing machines? Keep all the shotguns and pistols you want. But why does a regular citizen deserve access to automatic weapons? I know it can’t reach zero but we can get a lot closer.

You told the original poster (who I have zero connection to), “you know what the problem is.” What do you think it is?

I’m sure you’re a responsible gun owner, like 99% of gun owners are. But the remaining percentage can - and do, over and over and over - do SO MUCH damage.

Yeah, but the killing potential of guns is so much higher than knives. I’m not suggesting that we can make sick people disappear. But lowering the prevalence of guns would lower the killing ability of those crazy people by quite a lot.

Okay, let’s have a convo. I’ll retract my “go straight to hell” for the moment. Do you really think knives are equivalent to guns in terms of killing potential?
