This has to be one of the most insane examples of both-siding in recent memory. NYTimes again shows they’re unable or unwilling to confront the rising fascism right in front of our eyes. They’re doing a lot of heavy lifting to legitimize a growing authoritarian regime, and it’s disgraceful. Shame.

They absolutely should, but they’re also complicit in this, so I’m not holding my breath they’ll do the right thing. From what I’ve seen over the past decade (and especially the past few years), modern conservatism essentially means never taking personal accountability for anything.

Why isn’t the Trump admin protecting us from terrorist attacks?? Could the chaos at the FBI & DHS (mass firings, installing incompetent leadership, redirecting resources to focus on non-violent immigrants, etc.) have allowed this to happen? Dems need to make a fuss of this. Don’t play nice.

It isn’t an exaggeration to say the man is responsible for tens-to-hundreds-of-thousands of deaths due to his actions and decisions within the federal government. May he never know a moment of peace in his public life again.
