Yeah, 4thcore was a big eye-opener for me. Definitely upped my game after that (realizing the system was fine, it was the style of published adventures that were anemic )

Kind of reversed for me. Loved 4e as a player... but really didn't dig it as a DM (as everything revolved around combat to an even greater degree). I found it a struggle to run a game that wasn't just leading the player's from 1 pre-planned combat to the next

Nice! My longest running campaign was with 3rd. Ran Age of Worms with @flattfigures.bsky.social Went from level 1 to 17... sadly, game dissolved before we got to this guy!
