Update on Madditt's bald patch: she's growing little hairs back, but it's really difficult to photograph because she just wants to give me headbutts and kissies, and get scritches and love.

Madditt has a little bald patch on her neck.
It's not irritated or abnormally warm to the touch, it doesn't seem to bother her, and I'm not finding any unexplained clumps of fur. Probably from wearing her collar for so long. I'm gonna keep an eye on it and phone the vet on monday if things change.

The hardcover of an Icelandic translation of Astrid Lindgren's Madicken, and Madicken och Junibackens Pims. In Icelandic, the book is called Madditt og Beta. The cover depicts two dancing swedish girls in white summer dresses and black boots. The older, Madicken (a nickname of Margaret, Madditt in Icelandic), has dark hair and a white dress with red ribbons and a red ribbon bow in her hair. The younger, Lisabet (a nickname of Elisabet/Elizabeth, Beta in Icelandic), has blonde hair and a white dress with blue ribbons and a red flower hairband on her head. The book's red fabric spine extends onto the cover and has Astrid Lindgren's signature embossed into it.
