I like having a physical keyboard for data entry but not everyone feels as strongly.

I work in plant breeding/ agronomy. We have an old Juniper Allegro with FRS note-taking software that I really like. It was expensive but worth it over time. Currently a bunch of our lab uses open-source Fieldbook on Android devices (worked fine on $50 used Google pixel 3 as of last year).
