I don't post art much because I don't spend nearly enough time on fundamentals and I make amateurish mistakes with lighting and anatomy all the time. But I've been making pixelly, indexed-color tokens for the Dungeon Crawl campaign I'm in and I've been really happy with how they're turning out.

NPC HIGHLIGHT || "OLD GOWL"
Dungeons and Dragons, 2024

The only man in Malserac who will row people to its infamous haunted castle. By the time his "customers" realize he's one of the castle's ghosts, it's far too late.

This is the map I'm keeping for the DCC campaign I'm in:

The precursor to more modern movie experiences was the nickelodeon. You pay five cents, sit down, and watch the clips until they loop or you got bored. And I kind of wonder:

If a team of brainrot professionals went back in time to 1900, to what extent would cinema have even happened?

"I wish I lived back in the 90s, where everyone was so much more jazzed and optimistic."

I painted and rasterized a graphic for the Dungeon Crawl Classics guild I'm in.

"If anything, you haven't gone too far enough." It was either that for the motto or another, equally bad Latinization, QUID SI DEUS DIXIT NON ("What If God Said No").

I don't know or care what they ended up doing, but whoever made this screen test knows how to get the most out of a Tim Blake Nelson and I fucking respect that

Until I played Fallen Aces, I thought I hated hunting for secrets in videogames. Turns out, I just hate hunting for secrets in visually noisy levels where half the climbable things are unclimbable and there's invisible walls spackling every nook and cranny! In Fallen Aces, it's fucking great!

I guess I technically won, but I lost my Timber Wolf like three battles into the campaign so you tell me

Everything that could possibly go wrong with this project has/is going wrong with it, but it's still plugging along. Sometimes you have to see a misfire through just to finish learning from it.

I modeled these substations to 3D print and use, but we decided to go with a bigger hex footprint, so a colleague used this as a base to create a bigger version that only incidentally looks like a giant dick and balls (stay tuned I guess)

I made a custom tire track brush in Photoshop because I didn't like how the ones I found looked. I traced an existing dam's seal and added setting-appropriate colors and logo. Anyway I'm like definitely going to lose this game

It takes like 4 hours to play a BattleTech match, so you may as well spend 25 hours making a custom battlegrid and 3D-modeled scenery for it

Back when I played Battlespire, someone asked me what that game would be like if it was made by an indie developer today, and I answered "it would be good."

I can now be more specific: it would be Dungeons of Blood and Dream. And it is good!

My review of "The Roottrees Are Dead" is that the successful use of a library catalogue system just made me stand up and dance like an actual prospector
