Ad on the Underground for a university that prepares people for a career that uses a measuring cylinder in the style of someone who hasn't been to school.

A hat stand with hat, coat and leather suitcase, a desk without instrument, a globe, a grand piano, a chaIr near mics and guitar stands, a studded leather sofa with coffee tables and a rug. What does Ralph McTell have planned for his 80th birthday concert at the Royal Festival Hall? 🤩💖

I bought Jess Phillips' book in the Houses of Parliament gift shop today when we visited today as a family for an audio tour.
And "All great men make mistakes" rubbers to give to people who like Churchill too much.

You need a different bank card for each child in the London Underground. Ridiculous workaround. Do the software engineering. Make the arrangements with child banking companies so their cards work. Doesn't feel very 2025.

I have refilled my Diamine Majestic Purple. It was quite hard to come by - everywhere is selling Imperial Purple (bluer) but this is much more purpley.
It was hard to get the ink out of the bottom so I hadn't got it completely empty.

I went into Oxford today and got a Bodleian readers' card - 15 yr since my student card expired (which was surprisingly late, because I did teacher training and NQT before I finished writing up my thesis)! So now I can spend "me time" at beautiful libraries. And access journals whilst there.

I also need to crack on with The Widening of God's Mercy by Christopher and Richard Hays. But now I know the central thesis is about God changing God's mind, I have lost impetus. I am more of the mind that God has always been chill. It's just people who haven't.

I am keen to make a dent in my birthday book haul: Patriot by Navalny and Julia by Sandra Newman. Should I start them both at once?
