72 eggs off to the community centre first thing tomorrow morning. That's 1 eggs worth of mayo in the jar next to it. Please enjoy my half finished kitchen.

I think @ronnisalt.bsky.social may have written a book specifically for me. You'll still love it but Im pretty sure Gunnawah was written so I could come home from the library, sit under the veranda with a cuppa, a fresh sth westerly off Lake Alexandrina keeping the flys off, & be happy this is home.

This completely derailed the little mental breakdown I was gearing up to have. Dayan really earned his sushi today.
A text thread starting with a message from me saying 'I might need dot points' in reference to being asked how's everything over there. Dayan's response was first 'do what you gotta' followed by a message saying 'it's hilariously American that we call them "bullet points".

We always have more eggs than we can eat so they go to neighbours, friends, or the community centre. We're now looking after a friends 3 Australorps and LOOK! I feel so fancy giving these to people. Chickens are awesome.

House mates cat sheds the most out of any cat I have ever know
A very quick water colour of my house mates cat Gel. And Gels dust bunnies from her fur vaguely shaped like she is. Gel is a potato shaped tortoise shell cat who can see her owner from the front door when Leila sits at my kitchen table. She screams from abandonment ever chance she gets. She has 2 layers of fur and sheds like no other cat I have ver met. I swear last week I saw a cat shaped dust bunny fly out when I opened the door. She is mostly black orange and white with a squishy little face. My painting capture her vibe more than her actual appearance

This is my Pig Mug. My niece picked it out for me about 8 years ago & while it's now got a big crack in it from being knocked on the tap a few too many times, I still love it. So now it gets put into art when niece or I need inspiration.

On brand today. Just overwhelmed with bureaucracy, and you know, the continued genocide of Palestinians but it was the commonwealth bank that tipped me over the edge this morning. The jumper is gooooood though. Fuck.

Accidentally ended up with an hour and a half to myself in town today. Spent time in the library and now I'm sitting on a hill looking at the river with an ill advised afternoon coffee.

@sarahmackattack.bsky.social. Art that makes you go ehehehe the whole time you're making it is so freaking delicious! Lino stamp started as a way to cover butter stains on a hoody, reminded me that caterpillars gotta be goo soup before they're cool moths in the moonlight.

We've had 46mm of rain in 36 hours. My tanks are full, there are puddle everywhere and a native Thrush has been singing in the trees all day. The goats are pretending to be miserable but they're also not in any of the many shelters I built them. Plus I have day 2 soup.

The damp was only discovered because I got bored & bought a chest of drawers for $20 and immediately sanded it & moved the pine box that had covered the whole wall.
A low 3 drawer pine chest of drawers sitting in front of a single sash window. It has a deep red runner over the top with a small cactus and a in a grey ceramic dish and a medium sized Kete sitting on it. (Kete are a traditional Maori woven basket). The wall behind the drawers is a light orange plaster 800mm high to the windowsill. There is a damp water line creeping about 400mm up wall. The view from the window is of gum trees and blue sky, partially covered in the right by a green gold velvet curtain tied in the middle. Left of the window the wall you can see is covered in a grey blue fabric with a floral print, a sliver of a pink green and blue painting. Right is faded blue carpet, with a long gauzey teal curtain tied against it.
