I am so proud of my child @jamie-lynn.bsky.social. They spoke before the Colorado Legislature today on the HB25-1312 on the Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals. They were eloquent in speech and spoke on something that was very personal.

So I decided to make a substack in order to better share writing I want to use to speak out about everything going on. Feel free to subscribe if you'd like. I'll be trying to post once or twice a week.

I feel like this is one of the more important and impactful pieces of poetry I've ever written, and I'm honestly glad that it's my first real post on substack, and some of the first writing I am sharing on here.

Anyone looking to ban a book from a school should have to prove they read it by presenting a book report to the school committee.
