I think it’s time to come permanently here. When the other place causes you to cry daily you know it isn’t a good thing.
By my calculation (including a leap year) we only have 1460 days of Trumps Presidency 🤦‍♀️

OMG I have a child who can drive … so proud of her. What an achievement learning to drive alongside all she does

So, bored now with having COVID … again! So, I’ve decided to see if I can tackle the Christmas sermon writing … the question is … can I write a midnight mass sermon using Gavin and Stacey as an illustration? … I wonder let’s see “what’s occurrin!”
a woman in a red fur coat is standing on a beach and talking .

Absolutely, but still stunned when you do speak back or report the back lash you get and what always hurts most is when it’s other woman who shame you for saying something or try and excuse them 🤦‍♀️
Raise your hand if you were once too hesitant or afraid to confront an older man saying or doing something inappropriate but would have no problem putting him in his place now as a #middleclasswomanofacertainage 🙋‍♀️

I have many thoughts and feelings about assisted dying … but one that really worries me is what it would do to our overwhelmed justice system.
What it would do to our exhausted NHS staff.
And how ill equipped we all are to have these conversations pastorally.

Happy St. Cecilia’s Day - Patron Saint of Musicians … giving thanks for the gift of music in my life, I wouldn’t be the person I am without music. And giving thanks for all who make music which brings joy, solace and hope to so many!

So much this 👇🏻
You're not "stupid" for having found a charismatic cult leader's message or personality persuasive, even as an adult. They push buttons, especially in trauma survivors, that make red flags look green-- & the more we think we're immune to their skills, the more vulnerable we are.

I am blatantly sat in my car for 10 minutes now, desperately not wanting to get from car to house because I am warm and dry and outside is wet and cold. #wintersucks

Well that was a heavy but also a beautiful morning #safeguardingsunday. So, comfort food lunch it is - Yes, that’s a gluten free chicken nugget salad … which Alma has her eye on!

Here is wee Alma … she is about to have her Starbucks treat for being such a kind doggo at a Funeral visit in church. My friends she did a beautiful job of making people comfortable in some tragic circumstances ❤️

It’s really tough as I write a sermon for tomorrow “Safeguarding Sunday” to get a balance, and to make sure the congregation don’t feel that they are the problem, for from my experience they are following the letter of the law … it’s what happens once reported on. Oh my what a week! 😪

Been at my desk all morning in hyper focus - turned the radio on for lunchtime news and we appear to be shuffling into 2010 - I might need a nap, maybe some cake, probably a lot of cake!

Spent all day watching rugby - proper club rugby with the cold Scottish rain pouring down my neck and 3 incredible international rugby games on the big screen and literally each game was fantastic from start to finish - ❤️ 🏉

This is perhaps one of the best gluten free cakes I have ever had - a beautiful Czech layered cake with honey and walnuts. And it was consumed in a delightful little cafe in Edinburgh - ❤️
