Oh friend, I have had this GP appointment so many times. It's unhelpful, and it's untrue. You (and your body, if they feel separate) deserve kindness and respect this day and every day.

Yeah, we're doing well thank you! Can't believe I'll be going back to work on Sunday, and so grateful for a phased return.
It's been far too long, one of my 'on this day' photos a few days ago was us at a uni party, feels like a lifetime ago!

Although I've mentioned this on your other thread, so it's not a new reflection, I consider my experience to be not only positive but life-giving and precious.

I don't prefer it, but it has become a very important part of my ministry, as it allows me to share sacred space with my dear friend and training priest who otherwise can't receive from me. Seeing us together has been a good and healthy witness to our community, breaking down barriers.

Or receiving Christ in the eucharist for the first time since going into labour, about which I am just delighted. What a relief to be able to drive again, but I now feel so much closer to the experience of those who struggle to attend church.

I was so looking forward to this study day, I hope you'll fill me in over coffee in exchange for cuddles with a baby!
