There's a mindset that has been pushed again and again in all that time, one that denigrates the educated and educators, elevates and justifies the ignorant and small-minded, and encourages selfishness over community.

A year? No.

What we're seeing now is the culmination of several decades of effort by the real powers-that-be.

They've been working up to this point since the 1980s, Trump didn't come out of nowhere. The propaganda alone is a significant creator for this monster.

How realistic is a strike of that magnitude? Even if people were willing, how realistic?
Who's going to feed people? Who's going to make sure there's a fund for basic necessities? Participants themselves? Most of us are already living paycheck to paycheck and still coming up short.

Bit more to it than that.

For literal decades, the people who want someone like Trump in power have been in charge of the propaganda to shift the mindset. I've watched it accelerate in real time.

That's not really new. It's more that we've gone from villain to cartoonishly incompetent yet still dangerous villain.

I already know half of the anthem in English. I've gone to a lot of hockey games.

Jerry Springer was a brilliant man, he was a politician before he was an entertainer, and he knew what he was doing. He was not a strange choice.

What's that supposed to mean?
February 5, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Nah, Bootsy's got better things to do with his time. He's too kind to be mayor.
February 5, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Damn I really haven't been paying attention to what's going on. She's planning to run? Works for me!

The last time we had a Republican mayor in this city, women could still be denied credit in their own name.

The suburbs are very red. White flight and all, but the city itself is not.

AND one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He was also very smart and kind.
February 5, 2025 at 3:28 PM
That's going to hurt him too. So many things on Amazon come from China, and a lot of them use USPS.
February 5, 2025 at 3:27 PM
I hope they keep it up, don't cave!

I'm also wondering about how they handle refugees.
February 4, 2025 at 5:33 AM
That would require a major mindset shift where they actually acknowledge that trying to appease the center-right voters is part of the issue.

So he understands this about as well as he understands tariffs, apparently.

Well now I'm curious. I wonder if my account is still active?

These appointments are what concerned me.

I knew they wouldn't go to the one who was most qualified but the one who was best at sucking up.

He'll get to appoint at least one more Justice, too

Agreed! I've recovered a lot of my range and vocal flexibility in the last decade focusing on that breath control. Range I thought I had lost in my 40s.
Don't have the range of my 20s, but I have more than I did just a few years ago.
November 15, 2024 at 1:07 PM
You mean that's not common? I've seen restaurants actually serve it that way.
November 15, 2024 at 4:11 AM
I had to give you a like for "Cool hWhip"
November 15, 2024 at 4:07 AM
I was worried for a second, but then I saw you mention TB so I knew it was the right person.
