One of the panels was super badly damaged so I taught myself how to fix it up, I pulled it off, banged out all the big dints, sanded all the paint down and bogged it, there was a lot of sanding that needed to get done but I put my head down and got too it, I primed and painted it to match the hilux!

My partner and I went on many adventures in the months to come! Having this car meant that we could go places we couldn’t go in a normal car and meant we could get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life!

I went and sanded down and resprayed some rims that had some bigger tires on them, this is how she stayed for a few months! Wanted to do more but didn’t have the time or money for anything at that point

Went and repainted the tray just after we took it off-road for the first time, very thankful for the help I got from a close friend! I think it really brightened up the car and made it look less like it was just taken out of a paddock!

First week after getting the hilux we went away, got given some lights from my partner and his parents for my birthday! Also got a cb radio so can talk to others nearby! In the last photo you can see I got it super stuck in the clay, I realised at that point that I really did have a long way to go!

Here’s the hilux back when I got it at the start of this year (2023) she wasn’t in the best of shape but I fell in love straight away! Lots of work to be done!
