One Battle After Another. Wow!! I am PTA fan so I may be a little biased but this film is excellent and so relevant to what is going on right now.

SINNERS is outstanding!
I love catching a movie when everyone claps during the climax and when the credit roll. So many films coming out these day are based off of existing IP, so I am thankful WB let Ryan Coogler cook.

Photographed from Saddle Peak Rd 16 years ago. So much of this is gone. My heart breaks for LA.

My 14yr old daughter’s main instrument is oboe. She also plays viola, flute, and piccolo. She just sat down and started playing this. She hadn’t practiced at all, and it is an incredibly hard piece of music. She did amazing sight reading! I had tears coming down my face.

My 14yr old daughter has been begging to watch @scottderrickson.bsky.social The Black Phone for many months. I saw it opening night in the theater. When I found out last night it was one of her 2024 resolutions, we made it happen tonight! She is begging me to take her to see The Black Phone 2.

Just re-watched BLACKBERRY. Really enjoy that film and one of my favorites from 2023. Sadly only available on streaming, digital, and DVD. Would love to be able to get a blu-ray to add to my collection. I haven't bought a DVD in over a decade.

I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and living next to a same sex couple. With all the movies and tv shows I have watched over the years have enjoyed seeing each character's truth.

Sometimes I wonder if my physical media collection is similar to my dad’s old model collection. He had many models that he hoped to put together one day in boxes. Most of the movies on these shelves I have seen in the theater or at home. There are a couple dozen I still need to watch.

Finally got out to see ANORA. I have been reading buzz about it since it premiered at Cannes but went in with little knowledge or expectations. Such a great film and definitely one of the best of 2024!
