I’m halfway through @alansiegella.bsky.social’s Simpsons book. it’s enjoyable as a look at artistic collaboration *and* as a nostalgic look at a show that introduced me to so many references/ideas that it basically taught me how to see and understand the world.

“One of the strategies that Federer uses that good leaders use is to crack the door. I always tell people, ‘Don’t feel like you have to swing the door wide open and share your deepest, darkest secrets.

"Your goal is to crack the door. To share a little piece."

It’s such a privilege to cast a ballot for the Baseball Hall of Fame. I never want to forget that. My ballot this year.

I thought a lot about Felix Hernandez. I’ve come around on really valuing peak, stardom and what a player means to his generation. Hope he stays on the ballot.

I loved “A Complete Unknown.”

I read this book in November after a friend recommended it a year or two ago. And wow, what a deeply profound meditation on life, death, parenthood, family. Can’t recommend enough.
