Tbh, you really should watch it 1st. It's so much better when you can hear their voices in your head, & a lot of stuff rewrites or branches from a specific episode.

He probably didn't *really* understand that there was no possible way a deal could be struck. We know it couldn't, but we *saw* the Dominion up close repeatedly by then; Jaresh-Inyo had read reports. 10 minutes in Weyoun's skin-crawling company might well have stiffened his spine.

He was, but what can you do? I doubt there's a recall election or vote-of-no-confidence option, & even if there were, "too wet" is probably not sufficient grounds.
That said, we also saw him mid-S4, while the war didn't actually start until the end of S5, & he hadn't personally met any Dominion ppl

Although considering what they did to Reylo with TROS, I doubt they'll be any happier about canonization.

I didn't think Eskarina was trans, more like a tomboy. Considering the era in which it was written, I'd be surprised if it was intended as a trans story - I thought that's what Cherry was for - but I can see the argument. It's certainly a sign Granny was ok bucking gender roles & expectations, tho.
