Note that in my lifetime, human population has grown over 4 times, meat consumption has probably grown 6 times or more, and wild mammals have probably lost half their numbers. The graphic would look very different if it represented the situation right after WWII, before the Great Acceleration.

This study is on the biomass of wild mammals, but the graphic showing the relative biomass of wild (land and sea) mammals dwarfed by the biomass of us humans and our meat and domestic animals is telling.
