There was an HD re-release in 2010 and it's basically Goldeneye ramped up to 11, every flaw erased, every gameplay element improved, every mad idea implemented. Rare put everything into that game an hardly anyone knows it.
And they canceled then sequel.

People who think Goldeneye was the best need to play it's vastly superior sorta-sequel, Perfect Dark.
It's basically a cyberpunk Bond game with alien conspiracies and a girl Bond. So many amazing gameplay concepts no one ever repeated, other that took decades to return. Best N64 game ever, easily.
