Dreaming of a world where humans do things that make sense and advance beauty (and health and wellness) over fear.
Universal basic income would have a net cost lower than the military budget. We could choose to save trillions of dollars in resources and time that go to treating the downstream effects of poverty and the omnipresent fear of it. A rational civilization would do that. We are sprinting the other way.
i was told we are drastically cutting costs, everything from cancer research to meals on wheels to weather forecasts, because the country is on the verge of bankruptcy

Agreed. We’re in full coup mode. Everyone should be calling it that. Coup2025
This is not just a musing from a dude with some various ideas. The next step is to hollow out the judiciary and also not follow their rulings, which have been against Musk’s efforts. This is a very obvious coup, for those not paying attention.
