Very cool! Can’t wait to see what you all are cooking up with regard to Zigbee. Seems the community has rallied behind PoE Zigbee coordinators, but I haven’t found anything as stable as the ZBT-1. @home-assistant.io

I’ve been using the public beta for a couple weeks and everything under-the-hood feels solid but the UI changes feel like such a misstep.

Maybe I’m getting to the age of not really wanting big changes between releases. (Insert angry, old, guy shaking fist at clouds)

That is kind of what I figured. I’ve been using ZHA and experimenting between the SLZB-06 (Ti Chipset) and SLZB-06M (Silicon Labs Chipset), along with source routing to promote a snappier network.

Thanks for the reply. It seems everyone had a preference for Z2M and I wasn’t sure if that was due to the overall stability of the network or ease of use.

Just looked up the Linkind 1600 lumen bulbs, they’re so much cheaper than the Hue bulbs I’ve been buying.

We already have a Ubiquiti system at the house. That was the first thing I did when we moved in. I do have a dedicated IoT network. It may be worth looking into it.

My preferred option would be to replace my Hue Bulbs with something more reliable. Though, it looks like I may be going back to dumb bulbs and added Caseta plugs all my lamps. It’s just way too expensive to do that. I have 49 hue bulbs around the house.

My whole lighting system is made up of Philips Hue bulbs connected to HA through a SLZB-06 and ZHA to bypass the Philips Hub. It works well, but Zigbee can be a little flaky at times.

I’ve considered moving to Lutron Caseta as it uses the older 900MHz spectrum and has crazy range.

Whenever solar is brought up in discussions I get the vibe from those that oppose it that they’d ban freezers to protect the ice deliverers job.

I highly recommend the SLZB-06 for Zigbee 3.0. The range and signal strength really improved the reliability of all my Zigbee devices compared to the SkyConnect.

I ended up keeping the SkyConnect and re-flashed it to run a Thread network.
