I can honestly say that I have never voted for a Republican in any election I have voted in. My first political lesson was given to me by my dad. He told me that the conservative philosophy is “I’ve got mine so up yours”!!!

Joseph Goebbels, who he reminds me of, had a wife and 6 children he went home to. He and his wife killed their children and then commuted suicide rather than face justice.

The same for me. I served in Vietnam before becoming a citizen. The first thing I did on becoming a citizen was take leave and go home to register to vote. I can proudly state that I have voted in every election since, Federal, State and Local. I have never voted for a Republican.

I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. In 1966. As an immigrant with a green card at the Armed Forces Induction Center in Los Angeles.

Sort of an oxymoron isn’t it? I left Texas after 32 years and move back to California to find saner people. Where I lived in Tarrant County my late wife and I were a blue dot in an ocean of red.
