I generated a decent retirement plan in an hour using Gemini AI. It included monte carlo simulations, sensitivity analyses, projections by year, tax-efficient withdrawals, and reasonable advice on many key factors. I wouldn't trust it alone, but it validated other planning. Impressive & scary.

The Republican admin's cuts have changed my calculus for effective altruism, the idea of doing the most good per dollar. Until we rid ourselves of the Republican admin's death squads, I'll be giving to the ACLU and others leading the legal resistance to Trump cuts.
