Not a genre I’m super familiar with but I am really liking Sheila E.’s take on it.

This album has been an exercise in personal frustration. The guitar work is up my alley, the rhythm section is tight and full, and the concept of the band should be in my wheelhouse. Yet once again the cookie-monster metal vocals do their best to push me away from giving them a follow on Spotify.

Today I spelled Albuquerque without looking first. I’ll take a win where I can get one.

Work listening today has been catching up on some bands that flew under my radar for some reason, including Dogs D’Amour and Jack Off Jill.

Since I don’t have my people here yet, I’m going to start throwing out stuff to maybe connect with them.
