Same way that some people will run epic games launcher and whatever else, but their majority will be using steam. It is interesting seeing how like you mentioned, steam’s near monopoly on launchers makes using steam a no brainer vs. at some point an apple user will need to use other storefronts

I feel that’s another reason I’d compare it to a Mac Studio, Apple allows you to run other distributors and launchers but most arnt buying a Mac for audio/visual editing and using 3rd party software, they’re using Logic Pro or Final Cut because that’s what’s featured in the App Store

It will be interesting to see how this effects PlayStation in particular going forward, I wouldn’t be surprised if it pops off and we see less ports as a result

I mean Mac studios mission statement was to bring casual appeal to a creative workhorse without the hassle of the maintenance/troubleshooting a typical pc comes with. While valve seems to be gunning for some of the console market the steam machine functions more as a bridge than a console contender

That with paid battle passes AND loot crates like pick a struggle. Though honestly my personal least favorite will always be mw3 cause honestly I’d rather they skipped the campaign and saved me the trouble tryna follow up on mw 2019 and 2022. Plus that’s when AI generated content began to surface

Black ops 4 gets bonus points in my book for replacing the campaign with the worlds most uninspired br, honestly the only thing I really liked from bo4 was the manual healing in multiplayer. Also launch was TERRIBLE and if you wanted even one dlc drop you had to shell out for the season pass.
