(He/Him) - I'd rather be painting minis.

Be excellent to each other. Mask up and keep each other safe. 😷

I just finished a test Barons War model (rebooting the effort after some Foot Knights that I just hated so damn much it killed the project for me), so I really gotta get through this mess. Rather be working on that!

This dog does not give a _fuck_ about Daylight Savings Time: she thinks it’s 22 minutes past dinner time and is not happy about it.

This counts as intense cuddling from Miss Cricket. Pippin isn’t complaining.

I blew through all of the CGL vehicles from the KS in about a weekend. If I’d had the courage of my convictions (and sufficient paint handles) and tackled them in a single batch I’d have gotten them all done in a single day, I think.

I like my minis in a different style but man, I can’t help but feel like I need to convert to contrast-only. It’s just such a great result for the effort.

I’m a big fan of Sterilite Stack and Carry tubs for mini storage (better fit and <50% the cost than RUBs). I’ve been using shit craft magnets to keep things from sliding around in them but it’s not enough for transport out of house.

Ready for some Battletech!

(Porchtech? Porchwarrior? Dare you refuse my Porchall?)

Probably won’t leave it out to get dusty but now that I’m back in the office it’s comforting to have Demonship out as a little diorama.

I dunno I’m still traumatized by this. Skibidi is tapping into primal fears of “what if something ‘got you in the end’ when you’re pooping?”

Mine, right now. Gotta get right up under that chair so it can’t roll a millimeter.

Blasted through painting most of the Halo Spartan box over the weekend. Used Juan Hidalgo’s grisaille approach and, even though I don’t entirely love the results I do love gettin’ em done with so little effort.

Done printing 1490 Doom castle: been at it since NOVAOpen.

Could have planned it better but here we are. Did merge in a couple of PrintableScenery STLs to punch it up a bit, with results I’m happy with.

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line
Engines thumping and krumping in time

Not perfect but if I don’t test out a new thing out on cardboard first and go straight to the model… I can’t complain about first time results from first time efforts.

Played 1490 Doom - it slaps! Not enough meat there to play, like, week after week, but VERY fast to pick up and play and easily something you could fit a campaign of into an afternoon.

Maybe I need to build next years’ scenarios around Ghoulies, the cover of which has stuck in my formative brain but was much more traumatizing.

MONSTERS CAN COME UP TOILETS!?! THEY CAN DO THAT!??!

I really need to work out better how to photograph with this phone; I think photos’ve been consistently worse since I got it.

Over the moon with these #1490Doom models from @skullforgestudios.bsky.social. Went in without a plan and just vibed my way through each of them.

Not an original idea but old dogs really are magical.

She’s pretty blind, kinda deaf, and flat-footed… and every moment with her is a gift.

Can I finish these 4 models by EOD Sunday? I think/hope so.

HUMAN ARTISTS, use only one photograph of tiny painted toy soldiers to convince people to follow you.
