I’m glad we have a social safety net for our fellow citizens. However providing services for folks who came here illegally is a losing issue with voters. Failing to address this issue is why the orange nightmare is in the White House. virtue signaling like this means Dems will keep losing.

If you want to capture the upside of migrants, the way to win elections is to propose a legal guest workers program. Some will just be against immigration for racist reasons and you can’t win them over, but many voters can be won over by using common sense.

Many work under the table and pay no income tax, but they use schools and services. Many do get benefits through state programs like in California. Because they are undocumented they are ghosts to law enforcement, and many foreign gangs are operating in the US now.

This is exactly why Dems are losing elections. Yes there are upsides to undocumented aliens (workers to support business, great tacos), and it’s great to have empathy for them, but you ignore so many downsides and it shows Dems are not listening to your fellow Americans at all.

I’m glad they are mixing up the gameplay and characters for Witcher 4 because after playing through the game several times and all the DLCs I am pretty much done with W3. Give me something new that invokes some good W3 nostalgia though.
