Fair enough.
I thought the procedure might have been different between States.

Is your eye test and medical done separately?
My local GP (Brisbane) does the lot.
Actually, clinic nurse oversees the eye test and questionnaire.
GP reviews results, does peripheral vision test and signs off on it.

I would have told them no deal.
Much less involved but I had a buyer wait for me to dismantle and load an item into their car.
They then offered me $20 (because that's all they had "on them") instead of the $25 agreed on.
Took it back out of the car.
They "found" the extra $5 but too late.
Next!

Yes.
I have the same level of interest in Jews as I have in Catholics or Protestants or any other faith, ie very little.
I have no doubt the vast majority of Australians are the same.
Zionists however are racing up the interest chart.

In my defence it took 4 goes to manipulate a screenshot.
In the circumstances I probably deserve a "hopeful"

Yeah, I'm pleased as well, lol.

Me neither but I don't think that negates the generalisation?

A variation on "the younger generation has it too easy".
Said by every older generation.

When feeling a bit 'off' my grandfather would have a teaspoon of sugar with a few drops of kerosene in it.
Swore by it.
Lived till age 96.

My first job (mid-1960s) was trainee COBOL programmer.
Each year a couple of wags would compile a list of fellow employees accompanied by a "funny" sentence about each.
Read out at the office xmas party.
My 2nd year as follows - "How can someone be here so long and know so little?"
Humiliating!

After a full 10 seconds deliberation I've changed my mind.
No apostrophe.

Always got 100% in spelling tests at school.
As I sit here close enough 70 years later I can still feel the stinging embarrassment at not being able to spell "who".
Mental block or whatever but just wouldn't come.

He'd first have to clear that with US Defence.

Many years ago (still?) Oz exported meat (or perhaps it was dairy?) to the US in refrigerated shipping containers.
One could hire an empty returning container to bring goods to Oz at a greatly reduced cost compared to normal shipping rates.
Perhaps Marles Air could do similar... (joking)

I'm of an age where privacy was expected and respected.
Then came the internet.
Early days of bbs and then warez and hacker newsgroups demonstrated that a pseudonym is a must.
I eventually came to the conclusion that no-one cares who or what I am but old habits die hard :)

I have 4 fb accounts.
All set up before having to prove who you are.
Was never a big fb user so a waste of time and energy but who knew?
For years have used fb only for marketplace but usually have to explain that it will by my husband who will pick up...

Old man (mid-70s?) has cunning plan to purchase Kindle version as a special extra for his wife's xmas.
A little calmness and normality in turbulent times.

Three years?
Amateur.
When we bought this house we had things in mind to improve (DIY).
After 14 years I finally got around to replacing the back glass sliding door (the type where one side of the glass is fixed and the other side slides. All up 2.4m wide).
Discovered that the fixed side wasn't.

Other than the initial news reports I haven't watched, listened, or read any of it.
Entirely predictable responses all round.
