She went into battle in part 5 and tried to reason with her partner and continued to go to the digital world. My paraphrasing, she high key was ready to fight mysterious man in part 6 when Ordinemon still wasn't returned to Meicoomon after Tailmon was saved.

Because with Meiko I felt she did try to better herself. She chose to chase after Meicoomon instead of running away from her problems in part 3, she stood up and admitted her flaws in part 4, even being a reasoning voice for Sora.

#digimontimestrangerspoiler She was just simply the "GIrl that needed to be protected." Now, at the end of the story I can see why that subtitle exists. But it still bothered me.
