Frustratingly we've seen by now - basically no consequences for Leinster players having shockers. Gus McCarthy literally not played a game of rugby as an adult where the set piece isn't a total liability; but he'll probably start 7-10 games this season because of his "leadership" or whatever

You don't see too many biting incidents in televised rugby games these days but that is the least subtle one I've ever seen. Genuinely think questions need to be asked about why this was ignored

He did. he's been out-performing it for 2 full seasons tho. “He signed the contract” is correct legally and in most scenarios an effective tool for corporate power enthusiasts. I do think you’ll end up disappointed on this one though, high level pro sports - superstar athletes tend to hold their own

Nank played week 1 against Connacht last season after his red in the playoffs because he served his suspension exclusively through preseason friendlies. Very much not a new thing, just draws more attention when Leinster related obviously

Is it that different to Nankivell's full suspension from his playoff red card against glasgow being used up on pre-season friendlies Allowing him to play 80 week 1 of the next regular season?

Timing is everything. If this was happening a year ago after he'd started and played really well at centre all the way through the euro knockouts including the final, and then played very well at 15 in 2 tests in SA, the only controversy would be why he wasn't already over there!

Up to team selection for NH game Deegan clearly having the better season and deserved the start in that game. Since then, impossible to make a case for him over Baird. Skepticism is fair given all the false dawns already, but also feels correct to weight recent playoff games over early season ones

I think 12th and squeaking in as a 2nd seed is by far the most likely outcome- their closest rival for that position is Japan who they have two more games against (incl. 1 at home). Despite yesterday they will be favourites in both games; 1 win will give them a chance 2 will guarantee it

You'd imagine JGP would take well to it given how skilled a kicker he has become in recent years; but in 235 games as a pro he's never successfully kicked a shot at goal so who knows? Unfortunately the one thing we can probably be confident of, is that Leinster have not prepared for the scenario!

Putting aside all the obviously incorrect assertions which would be harder to disprove, the idea that there are multiple countries in the world where pedal bikes need to be registered / display plates? Just an obvious boomer wet dream with no connection to reality!

"Staring at 1 team in Europe" is alarmist. Looking at remaining fixtures 3 Irish teams in the CC still the most likely outcome, 4 still possible. Some provincial budget rebalancing clearly needed, but the morning after a MUN loss to a team with a playing budget 3m lower, the arguement looks weaker!

Also seen some cursing of the outrageous good fortune of being on the "weak" side of the draw... From fans seemingly oblivious that their team are on a losing streak against all 4 QF teams on that "weak" side of the draw!
