Not excusing his bigotry at all: I don’t know his sect of christianity, but if he‘s a conservative evangelical, a bell could be considered a “musical instrument” & not allowed. Grew up in that culture, & the first time I heard a church bell, that wasn’t in film & television, I was 20 years old.
