I studied economics but working as software engineer in the energy transition. Interested in climate adaptation. Working towards a rural, sufficient life.
I’m not a degrowth supported, but I looked into it to the extent that I did a course at Oxford to get a better understanding of it. Degrowth is a planned reduction in economic output. Associating it to this kind of economic recessions is misleading in my opinion.

The other issue is that people are pointing fingers to the wrong companies. Every time there is a discussion about planned obsolescence on devices, Apple of the first to be mentioned. But I have an iPhone 7 (8 years old) and a 11 years old MacBook and they still receive security updates
