The Germans killed innocent civilians, in Poland 1939-1945, but before 01 September 1939 they negotiated with Poland, and then formally declared war so that gave the Poles advance warning.

The Government of Palestine is Hamas who are killers of innocent civilians, without declaring war, or negotiating with the people they killed, on October 07 2023.

I think there is a great railway bridge or line on embankment at Barmouth, there’s a well known photo of it.
