Hanging in there.
It's child abuse and should be prosecuted as such.

It's not just money. People don't want phones with built-in AI and such. I'm going to keep my phone as long as possible, and then, when it dies, if I can't opt out of all this intrusive crap, I'll give up my smartphone altogether.

The senator is not stupid and not naive. He knew they would attack him, and he took them on anyway. This sort of bravery and self-sacrifice is uncommon. Americans must have his back.

Having your nation's enemies install their guys as your government is the same outcome as their army defeating your army. Your government reporting to dictators in other countries so they can steal your money, mine your parks, control your military, and convince you to fight each other is bad.

About a month later, 8 of them joined Republicans to pass the bill, funding Trump's thugs and goons and destroying healthcare subsidies

Exactly. Also, current students are six figures in debt for a degree and can't afford to have it stripped because they went to a protest. Biden and Trump both openly supported beating and expelling students who protest. Capacity to protest is a privilege.

We can't even get Senate Democrats to stop funding this regime.

Many have run as Dems or served as Dems while opposing the party platform. The whole point of a party is to bring people together around shared goals, and many prominent Dems vote against bills consistent with the party platform & for bills that undermine party goals. You can't "message" that away.

My city has a light rail. It's literally slower than walking, even when pushing a baby stroller or walking with a toddler.

If you look at the data on adult numeracy skills, the US population is far below other wealthy countries. Being dumb is a tax.
