Headteacher of a small rural primary school. Passionate about success for all children and doing what works.
Behaviour management is easy for you because you are a man.

They respect you because you are a man.

That’s weird working with young children.

Reminds me of a Turner painting. It’s what it would look like if the subject was Egrets rather than ships.

If funding matches it might be possible. But the limiting children due to level of need is unacceptable. As is using academic ability to determine level of need.

The moon was pink in Norfolk over in England. I was driving so no picture possible. It was incredibly beautiful.

What was the date of Shrove Tuesday in 1981? Bigger issue - different approaches AI internet search give different answers. How can we answer when Shrove Tuesday was in 1981 if we can’t trust AI or web searches.

Thought it was me. How the movie/ show came from the book is beyond my imagination. There are far too many forgettable characters with unusual names.

I strongly believe that phones and social media access for under 16’s is the mistake of our current society. It will be looked back upon as we look back upon smoking.

Yep. Completely get it. Although I’m still a small school head. I put up boards last week, did some gardening and organised some PE equipment. Back today to sort displays. It making sure you have the balance between’jack of all trades’ and strategic that’s challenging.

Strong agree with. The focus on accountability of pupils and the same expectations for all starts to create the hard work culture. It inspired a reflection of what is the point of any pedagogical strategy if pupils are not working hard.

I’ve found it’s a useful framework for use with individuals. It helps identify emotions and strategies. You can do the same without it and lesson time spent teaching should be carefully considered. When used as PSHE lessons when it matches your curriculum it’s as good as a lot of other schemes.

My whole family are listening to (if this counts) His Dark Materials at the moment. I read the three books 20 years ago. It is magnificent and the best Audible reading. My 14 yr old won’t leave the car until a chapter ends.

Cats do seem to have this skill of being completely serene while another dog/cat is bouncing off the walls at their presence.
