As a composer it's something you have to keep an eye on. I'm always drawn to D as a root, although I don't think in keys too much, but still, I have to force myself to explore other starting points or it can all end up sounding a bit flat.

I think my story is similar, although it wasn't till "concerts in china" that I realised I wanted to do music myself.
