In Santa Barbara, CA there is an annual Christmas parade on Milpas Street. It is a wonderful community event that the entire city looks forward to and enjoys every year. It has been cancelled this year due to community fears of an ICE raid at the parade. We great yet?

I just want to say that the 2025 US Open is a disaster. Between the course prep (the rough) and the weather. It's a shame. This is not a proper display of our national championship. Ugh

Finnish President Alexander Stubb's assessment of the current diplomatic situation and the way forward for Ukraine is encouraging. He says we need to "be Finnish, take a deep breath" and move forward. He is not as dire about current events as one might expect. He's a sensible and very smart guy.

I have my first client who lost her house in the Palisades fires. Also, an LA broker indicates that there is now a moratorium in place among all casualty insurance carriers stopping the issuance of any new policies, presumably in the greater LA/So Cal area.

I worked on a lease deal with Harbor Freight Tools for 6 months on behalf of a client who owns a shopping center. The deal was done and only required signatures. After the election Harbor Freight cancelled the deal due to Trump's tariff threats.
