The regression analysis published by Lighthouse contradicts Norwegian self-image: "our findings point to stark class injustice within Norwegian courts. Lower-income defendants receive substantially longer sentences than wealthier defendants".

Among his many achievements Korpi is also former president of RC19 Poverty, Social Welfare and Social Policy of the International Sociological Association. He also invented the "Korpi rule" for how we still organize the paper presentations at the RC19 annual conferences.
