There are some authors whose works I will pick up to evaluate on sight. When it comes to Q Hayshida’s work, I don’t need to evaluate, I can trust that it will be incredible. Dorohedoro has been one of the greatest series I’ve ever read (I’m almost finished). I’m looking forward to starting Daidark!

It makes me wonder what kind of person Q Hayashida is? Her work is deeply macabre, yet at it’s core there is also so much joy. Does it all balance out so she is neutral? Has she poured herself out so much that she is transparent now and that’s why we don’t know much about her?

And I’ll have a second monitor so I won’t have to switch tabs back and forth! Or just another laptop that I can cover with more stickers
