I've been thinking about what I should use this account for, but in the end I'll just keep on posting (maybe translating something interesting from time to time) about things I like. Especially, of course, Super Robot Wars.

My son really got into Pokémon anime recently, so I did a very sane thing, that is, spending a truckload of money to import this absolute unit of a Pokémon encyclopedia.
I'm really glad that his reaction is exactly like mine would have been if such a book existed during my pokemania period.

It's a perfect mix of things that please me: graphics, character designs, story, pacing, music etc.
Whenever I'm lost, I boot up Phantasy Star IV and feel like I'm back home again.

As I'm wrapping up Wing interviews, I feel like this is something that needs to be pointed out for the crowd that lines to say Wing was not popular in Japan. Kotaro Nakayama served as project coordinator for Wing.

After completing two chapters of SRW Y I can't even begin to tell how impressed I am with this game.
It's not "good compared to VTX30 era" (mind you, I mostly like VTX30, but it's still the weakest period of SRW in my opinion), it's genuinely really damn good.

SRW Y feels so strange.
Many attacks are amazing, and quick transition between animations is much better than 30's black screen. But I never imagined that I can be THIS upset about interface.

As I said, Super Robot Wars Y roster reminds me of GBA era SRW titles.
So, before Y's release, I decided to replay one of the games from this time and chose R, because it is the one I'm most nostalgic of.
