My radio's left channel exploded a bit over a year ago and around then I've been hearing the alternator charging on MW.
The radio works great when the engine is off! (Or when the v belt slips and the alternator stops charging 😰)
Oddly there's no interference when listening to cassettes though??

The Toyota Carina Exciting Dressy is such an amazing version, I love the higher end ones especially for their radical digital dashboard and neon green light up ED badge in the heckenblende. <3

And of course the rather silly sounding name ED stands for; "Exciting Dressy" hehe

Don't need a phone or a watch

There's a clock in my car's dashboard! :)

Having had a look at the listing, I think there's more pressing problems with this lovely Corsair....

There's no heater!! 😱

I had no idea ZA market cars would come without one, the heater controls look so oddly bare on this one.
Super interesting ...but it must get frilly driving it!

Yes!! I love cars in a slightly dishevelled shape, this one was perfect as it was!
I'm a big sucker for mismatched panels/doors on cars for some reason.
French Blue + Mimosa Yellow go great together.

Saw this one recently, love the red door!
(the rest of it was in annoyingly better shape than mine)

That Metro is wonderful, same 'eclipse blue' colour as my old Triumph Acclaim!

And woah! The reg is A--- LHC!
We have a MK2 Civic with the same reg, just the three numbers are different!

(Numbers edited out of the image as I'm needlessly nervous about sharing regs online)

Heh your shelf looked in better nick than mine, they were always a bit flimsy, especially on the Dolomite where they're one piece that extends the full width of the car
'Fixed' mine using lots and lots of duct tape

I can't find any advert for the version I had specifically (Mk7, non-cooper from 1998), so this 30th anniversary edition will have to do:

Ooooh is that a Dell Dimension XPS R400??

I had that very same computer, albeit a horizontal case version.

Mine had a Pentium II 400, 64mb of ram, ATI Rage Pro AGP 4mb, 5.5GB HDD, and Windows 2000

My first computer!

Yes!! That ring of green around the outside is so cool, I love how you can see it when you look at the dials from an angle

(This pic is from my boyfriend's Dolomite, hence the original dials)

Neon green!

Warm green :3

I wont pretend to be an expert on these, info on them is fleeting at best, but I surprisingly I found another one at Beaulieu autojumble and just had to get it!
It's interesting to compare them, I think this one is a later one as it has a plastic eject lever & a solid tape door.
Details in alt text!

You mentioned you were Philips nerd, so you may be interested in my Triumph Dolomite's radio!

It's a 1969 Philips 22RN392 or seemingly also known as the Radiola K7??

Was thankfully easy to change the belts & clean up!

It has an AM radio, plays cassettes, has germanium transistors and I love it :3

I know it's not RWD, but the VW Gol G1 (Not Golf) had the VW Beetles flat four engine flipped around 180 degrees and stuffed in the front, with the differential upside down to give it 4 gears in reverse and 1 forwards to make a front engine front wheel drive beetle based hatchback nugget <3

if you see this, post something orange :3

I raise you this Triumph Dolomite 1500 which is incredibly orange in person.

The rear looks even more immensely orange to us since we're so used to our 1850s with their blacked out rear end and C-pillars. Not used to seeing those bits body coloured!

The car on the far left, I thought was a ADO17 Landcrab, but I think I am just seeing things maybe, I'm drawn to British cars haha

Perhaps it is actually a Peugeot 204?

Ooh I love this advert, it's so funny how they explain the punchline and the Super 5 is just such a cute car from every angle <3

This really makes me miss my 1988 Super 5 TR, I really must get him fixed and back on the road; he is such a joyous friendly nugget of a car!

My first car was this wonderful 1998 Rover Mini 1275i in 2017

Not a cooper! Base model with thin wheels and 61hp.
3rd gear had no more synchro, it'd overheat unless the cabin heater was on max, and the heater leaked and would steam up the windscreen :)

Unfortunately a rusty rear subframe got it :(

Molchat Doma's Etazhi album with lovely old Skodas, Trabants, Volgas

I'd love to have the Skoda 100 on the far right!

I'm sorry but I just HAD to animate this

I'm highly biased of course, but I love the outline of the rear doors on the Triumph Ajax cars! (Dolomite/Toledo/1300/1500/Panther Rio)

Has a sort of Hofmeister kink to it before BMW did it hehe

Went for a fun drive around with my dad in our Triumphs :3

Of course, being BL cars, the Spitfire's starter wasn't working, and then the Dolomite lost power to almost all electrics!

I don't know if I'm using these hashes correctly, but: #weirdcartwitter #triumph #dolomite #spitfire #classiccars
