I didn't know Japanese Pokemon Red and Green were THAT different. I knew the Pokemon sprites were different, but I didn't know a lot of the world sprites were also different.

I really, really like the original Pokemon Red and Green sprites. I don't think they're off model. This is just the style they were going for at the time and it's incredibly charming. This is unironically one of my favorite ways Dragonite was ever depicted.

Beyond the Labyrinth is a beautiful obscure 3DS game. I bet it looks incredible on real hardware with the 3D on, though it can be played with a fan english patch on emulator!

These are sick designs. I wish these could have been in the final game for variety instead of the several bipedal and serpent colossi we got. Bluepoint should have taken more liberties with Shadow of the Colossus remake.

Fragile Dreams should be on more people's radar. Horror game that has an artstyle akin to a gamecube platformer, will probably never leave the wii.

This is one of my favorite comments I've ever gotten. It was posted two years ago but I still think about it sometimes. Something about referring to Origins through Downpour as the underdog era is so beautiful to me, and it's how I've defined those games since.
