While I feel slightly threatened by AI, I also feel reassured that I will always have my job because people will always want that human negotiation that is just part of life.

Sometimes the people who laugh at you do so because they feel threatened by the things you can do that they struggle with. Do not let anything crush your self-respect because the more barriers you impose on yourself, the less you will achieve.

It's not about turning you into a commodity but about the sense of accomplishment for a day. I don't work seven days a week, but even when I am off, I usually get stuff done, like cleaning my room, doing laundry, and so on. Sitting around doing nothing but laze is not very enticing.

The assumption that companies would never add anything that would poison you is a myth. If they can save 2 pennies by adding chemicals that will give you cancer they will do it without a second thought.
