I use the small scale analogy even sceptics observe: leaving a puppy in a locked up car on a hot sunny day. Incident energy absorbed in car is re-emitted at a wavelength that has a harder time escaping car. Car heats up. Puppy is in danger. CO2 makes re-emitted energy harder to escape. QED.

Problem is that we still refer to it as global warming and not climate change.

Global warming causes weather EXTREMES in temp and precipitation.

And this will be accepted by the millions of childish adults saddled with puerile credulity, because they think scientific questions are settled by expert opinion and consensus, not by independent testing and verification.
